Terms of Service — Store OS by Hood

1. About Store OS

Store OS by Hood is a point-of-sale (POS) and store management system that helps store owners manage billing, catalogue, inventory, and day-to-day operations, integrated with the broader Hood ecosystem.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old, or a duly authorized representative of a business entity, to use Store OS.

3. Accounts

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity under your account, including actions taken by staff or employees you grant access to.

4. Your Responsibilities

As a Store OS user, you are responsible for:

• The accuracy of all business, product, pricing, and billing information you enter
• Compliance with all applicable tax, billing, and business regulations relevant to your store
• Any customer data you collect and store using Store OS, including obtaining necessary consents
• Maintaining accurate and lawful records generated through the app

Hood provides the platform and technology; you are responsible for your business operations and legal compliance.

5. Billing & Transactions

Store OS may facilitate billing and transaction recording for your store. Hood is not responsible for the accuracy of data you enter, disputes with your customers, or your compliance with applicable tax or commercial law.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use Store OS for any unlawful purpose
• Enter false or misleading business or transaction data
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Hood ecosystem
• Interfere with or disrupt the app or connected services

7. Intellectual Property

Store OS, its design, and underlying technology are owned by Hood and its licensors. You retain ownership of your own business data entered into the app, and grant Hood a license to process and store it as necessary to provide the service.

8. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to Store OS at any time for conduct that violates these Terms or is otherwise harmful to Hood or other users. Upon termination, you may lose access to data stored in the app, subject to applicable data retention obligations.

9. Disclaimers

Store OS is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation, and are not responsible for business losses arising from app downtime or data errors.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Hood shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of Store OS, including business losses, billing errors, or disputes with your customers or tax authorities.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the app after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India.
